Little Bird Snowman Ornament

The other day, I shared a free-style hand embroidery bird feeder that I made, which features my very own backyard gathering place for birds!

I want to show you what I turned that embroidery project into! Big revelation and drumroll please….

This is from a pattern by Tamara at Remi Vail Studio: Finn Frost Snowman

To be honest, this little guy was the culmination of 7 “Finns” that I made for family members this past Christmas! I made all of the size variations, which were so fun and my favorite part was using scraps from the past year inside the snowmen. It helped me to clear out old inspiration and make room for new inspiration at the beginning of this year.

Let me show you a little more of these guys.

Large and Medium Finns all standing in a row.

These were for my mother, two sisters, and sister-in-law.

Each Finn Frost has a scarf, pocket, and little heart to fit in the pocket.

This is the back view which has the pocket and heart inside!

Small Size Ornaments – I made 2 ornaments like the first to give to my nieces and my Little Bird Snowman was to keep.

This is a great beginner friendly project and one that can really use scraps up well. Let me show you how I did that for each of my Finns.

From Sewing to Scrap Filling!

I love to find new ways to use my embroidery projects because each one lends itself to so much inspiration! You can find my process for this little bird feeder and friend on my blog here.

Until next time! <3 Keep on embroidering! Kate
