Why We Love A Gentle Feast

This month there is a #whyweloveAGF challenge! So here is the introduction to who we are and why we love A Gentle Feast Curriculum:

This is us- I am from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan originally and moved down to Texas to spend most of my life in the Dallas area. I studied Therapeutic Recreation and worked at the best camp ever, Sky Ranch, during and after college. I moved to the Middle East in 2010 to be a nanny and help with a church plant. I was supposed to be there 9 months but I met the South African man in the hat, pictured beside me!

10 years later we repatriated to the US during the Pandemic and we are truly grateful to have already been homeschoolers to this lovely bunch. We started out very differently in homeschool with LOTS of work and workbooks for a poor little preschooler, but boy are we glad to have learned along the way and found A Gentle Feast. Our son is finishing up Cycle I, Form I. He is 7 and our oldest daughter, who is 5, gets to enjoy the living books. We have two other little girls tagging along, who are 2 1/2 and 1.

We now live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and are experiencing something very different from the desert all my children were born in. It has truly been a joy to do this as a family and to have nature study be one of the essentials of our homeschool life!

Can’t wait to share more, and nice to meet all you #agentlefeast friends!
