Free Motion Quilting Summit

I’m holding onto summer with clenched fists this year- I am excited for some stability and schedule to return, but I don’t want to forget to have fun. Do you feel that way?

Free Motion Quilting feels like a rough road at first, even if you are an experienced sewist and quilter. Letting down the feed dog doesn’t feel like letting down your hair, does it? It feels more like, WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!?

One thing that I have found to be helpful is to practice small and add some fun and creativity into it. So if you would like to join me this month, please do!

Step 1: Make some quilt sandwiches that will inspire you this month. Use your scraps of leftover fabric that you want to hold onto. They can be as big as a 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper or a bit smaller.

Step 2: Choose one of your sandwiches and coordinate your thread for quilting.

Step 3: Have some doodle fun!

You can check out more of how I’m doing it on InstagramFacebookPinterest, or Youtube, whatever you prefer!

If you need some help with those steps and even starting free motion quilting- what to do with your machine and so on, I have a little guide for you!

You can sign up for my monthly newsletter and receive it. Just hop over to:
