Forest Reflections Cover Quilt

We are less than a week away to the release of my first lap size quilt pattern, Forest Reflections! You’ll hear a little more from me throughout this week as I share some of the color ways for the quilt.

I’ll also share a special discount code with you for 20% off of the quilt pattern when you sign up for my newsletter!

Quilt Top

For the Cover Quilt, I really wanted to capture my original design and find the colors in real life fabrics. Moda’s Bella Solids were the answer! Even looking at the name of each color helped solidify this design. I’ve created a helpful image for these colors from Bella Solids below:

I love that this palette is versatile. It would be a great combination for someone who loves the deep hues found in the woods. The colors are bold and enhanced by the quilt’s geometric lines. It’s also a great option for making a quilt for a man in your life!

I got my fabric here: Warman Cozy Quilts in Barrington, IL

For the backing, I found Riley Blake Designs Plaid-Venture Club Fisher Green and it was the perfect combination for the quilt top colors.

Binding

I used the Golden Wheat for my quilt binding and finished it with a big stitch using Wonderfil Spagetti 12 Wt. thread SP53. Here the quilt is featured with one of my father’s decoys!

Quilt Label

Last step for this Cover Quilt is to get my Forest Reflections Quilt Label on! I got the embroidery finished and I just need to attach it!

Next, I’ll show you more of the inspiration for the Spring Color Way for Forest Reflections! Stay tuned.
