August Hand Embroidery

There is still time to sign up for our last pendant making workshop in August! We will cover some hand embroidery stitches and improvise while embellishing beautiful fabric! This month’s featured fabric is from Alison Glass’ fabric line Color Wheel- the “Day and Night Rainbow Stitched” fabrics are the perfect pieces to start playing with! Find the sign up for this month’s Wednesday Hand Sewing at the Craft Collective in Palatine, IL here!

Here is a perfect example of a pendant one of my students made from last week’s workshop:

“Stitch School” Introductory Class

We also have our first round of Introductory Sewing Classes for our new sewing program “Stitch School” at Warman Cozy in Barrington, IL. These classes are a prerequisite for “Stitch School” enrollment, which you can find more about here!

Students will learn how to set up and get their sewing machines running while learning how to make a drawstring bag. This is a great beginner intro class and it isn’t absolutely necessary to sign up for Stitch School afterwards, but your child or teen will definitely get a good feel for sewing and probably want to make so many cool things! Find the current introductory classes for Stitch School here: Warman Cozy classes.
